From gardens to farmland
To mark the edge of a plot, follow a path or enclose a garden. Debarked timber keeps a rustic appearance that sits naturally among plants.
To support rows of vines and help other plants as they grow. Diameter, length and spacing depend on the crop and the planned layout.
Posts are also used in landscaping and soil bioengineering for retaining works and boundaries.
Element sizes and layout need to be specified in the design to suit the ground and the work.
Why choose chestnut
Heartwood, the inner part of chestnut timber, has natural resistance to decay. This is useful in outdoor posts; the life of each post varies with its composition and conditions of use.
Removing the bark leaves knots and the shape of the timber visible. The post keeps its natural form, and its diameter can vary along its length.
A pointed end makes it easier to drive a post into the ground. Unpointed posts suit horizontal elements or fixings that do not need a pointed end.
The range we supply
Four approximate diameter ranges and lengths from 150 to 400 cm. Open the dimensions to choose combinations for your enquiry.
Diameter is measured at mid-length and is approximate. If you need a minimum diameter at a specific point, mention it in your enquiry.
The 180 cm length is available only in the 4–6 cm diameter range.
These configurations are normally available. Quantities and lead times are confirmed in the quotation.
