Ideas for your space

A floor for outdoor living.

Decking helps define seating areas and paths, connecting the house with the garden.

Terraces and seating areas

A timber surface for tables, seating and time spent outdoors. The boards sit on a supporting structure that must allow water to drain and the timber to dry.

The layout of the boards

The laying direction can highlight an area or follow a path. Even a small space gains character from a pattern that suits its shape.

For a pool surround or an area used barefoot, we assess the species and finish according to the conditions of use.

The Vela range

Which timber should you choose?

Colour, grain and timber characteristics affect both the appearance and the choice of decking.

Cumaru boards: brown and reddish tones.

Cumaru

A hard, dense timber valued for its resistance to wear. Its brown to reddish tones suit decking with a rich colour.

The grain and warm tones of Larch.

Larch

Warm tones and a distinct grain, with a more rustic appearance depending on the selection of boards. It works well alongside covered terraces and other timber structures.

Pressure-treated pine

Pressure treatment helps protect the timber against fungi and decay in outdoor use. An option for garden platforms and paths.

The material photos are illustrative: colour and grain vary from board to board.

Smooth or grooved

A smooth face brings out the grain. “Antiscivolo” is the Italian trade name for the grooved profile: grooves alone do not guarantee grip when wet.

Cumaru and Larch are available in both versions; pine is grooved only.

Timber changes outdoors

Exposure to sun and rain gradually turns the timber grey. A suitable decking finish helps retain its colour and needs renewing according to the product and exposure.

Regularly clearing leaves, dirt and algae helps keep the surface in good condition.
