Veneered blockboard. For bookcases and bespoke furniture.
A core of spruce strips faced with real wood veneer. For furniture sides, shelves, doors and tops, with the face species and thickness chosen to suit the component.
A/B normally available · A/R on request
The edge of the sample shows the strip core beneath the veneer.
Why choose it
From a shelf to a complete piece of furniture.
In furniture making, blockboard is valued for its low weight and stability. The veneer brings the grain of the chosen species to the surface, while the core provides the supporting structure.

Bookcases, sides and shelves
For fitted shelving, wardrobe divisions and open storage. The range of thicknesses lets you choose the proportions of each component and the appearance of its edge.
For each shelf, the clear span, supports and intended load determine the design. Thickness alone does not determine load capacity.
The same furniture in detail: doors, drawers and shelves.
Doors, cabinets and furniture tops
For fronts, storage units, counters and interior fittings with visible wood surfaces. Coordinate faces, edges and grain across the different components.
For doors, dimensions, panel construction and hardware must be chosen together. Machining and finishing also affect the result.

The Vela range · standard spruce core
The faces and species your project needs.
The reference panel size is 3120 × 1850 mm. Choose from five thicknesses and nine species, with two distinct face configurations.
A/B · two faces
The same species on both sides.
Two veneered faces, with face A of a higher grade than face B. Consider this option when the back remains visible too: the two faces are not the same grade.
Normally available, subject to confirmation in the quotation.
A/R · one face
One visible decorative face.
One veneered A face and an R back, whose construction is confirmed for each order. For components where the main face is the primary consideration.
Available on request.
Nine species in the range
Tanganyika aniegre · Tanganyika akatio · Black walnut · Light European oak · Rustic oak with knots · White European ash · Chestnut · Italian walnut · European maple
Light European oak and rustic oak with knots remain distinct options. Tone, grain and veneer matching are specified for the project.

Other options to discuss for special orders
A poplar core, teak, beech, elm, eucalyptus and reconstituted veneers can be assessed as specific requests. Minimum quantities and characteristics are confirmed for the supply.
Edges and finishing are part of the design.
The veneered panel needs finishing to suit the intended result. After cutting, exposed edges need a treatment coordinated with the surface; a veneered panel is not necessarily pre-varnished.
Before ordering, we specify the core, construction and veneer. Use in humid conditions or with particular requirements needs to be assessed against the product information for the proposed supply.
