From panel to project

From furniture to walls.

Veneer brings the grain of wood to furniture surfaces. Species, grain direction and finish shape the appearance of the finished work.

Furniture, cabinet doors and wardrobes

Sides, dividers, fronts and drawers: use the panel to make furniture components with a visible wood surface. Choose the faces according to what will be seen, including inside the furniture.

For shelves and tops, thickness and supports must suit the component and its intended load.

Interior panelling and wall linings

For decorative walls, wall panelling and fit-outs. The panel format allows you to plan broad surfaces: joints and grain direction are part of the design.

The Vela range · available to order

Start with the faces
that will remain visible.

Face grade, species and dimensions define the panel to request. The three configurations below each have their own panel format.

A/B · two faces

The same species on both sides.

Face A has a higher grade than face B. Consider this configuration when the back also contributes to the appearance of the furniture: the two faces are not the same grade.

A/R · one face

One decorative face on display.

For components where the visible side matters most. Face A is veneered; the R back must be specified for the order. This configuration is offered in 4 mm only.

Species available to order

Tanganyika · American cherry · Beech · Chestnut · Oak · Italian walnut

Wood varies naturally in tone and grain. For a set of doors or panels, tell us how you would like the veneers matched.

Edges and finishing
complete the work.

A veneered panel is not necessarily pre-varnished. After cutting and machining, edges and surfaces need finishing to achieve the desired result.

Before ordering, we specify the panel for its intended use. Humid environments or other specific requirements need to be checked against the characteristics of the board being supplied.
