Blockboard and solid-wood panels. Wood for your next furniture project.
For bookcases, cabinet doors, shelves and tops. Compare veneered blockboard and single-layer spruce: two different constructions, with distinct faces and edges.
Bookcase combining solid wood and veneered blockboard.
Veneered blockboard
For bookcases, sides and cabinet doors with the grain of your chosen wood. The spruce core keeps weight down, while the veneer helps coordinate the appearance of the different parts.

Edges to finish
Cutting exposes the panel’s core. Choose matching edging and a finish for the surface.
For open cabinets, shelves and tops with the light colour of spruce. The strips are already glued together, so you can cut your parts without first joining individual boards.
Spruce strips form a single layer.
Solid wood at the edge, too
Our range has full-length strips and is sanded but unvarnished. The edge can remain visible and be finished along with the faces.
For shelves and tops, the clear span, supports and expected load guide the choice of thickness.
Single-layer panels move as humidity changes, like all solid wood. Fixings and finishes need to allow for this.
